A Journey to Full Bloom
The importance of being still and listening has awakened the creative spirit within and has guided me on a courageous, exciting and sometimes terrifying journey. All to strengthen my trust in God and be an inspiration for others to awaken to their true nature and discover what untapped potential may be lurking within.

Chicago
One never knows what God has in-store for them until one commits to saying yes to the messages from within. After arriving in Chicago April of 2006 where I thought I was going too to attend Second City, a comedy school where one might get a chance to be cast on Saturday Night Live. I discovered there was another another plan that I could only say yes to.
A new passion awakened from the depths of my being. Mornings arrived with little sleep. Yet I awoke with a spirit filled
excitement as this new passion profoundly filled every cell of my being with ecstatic joy.
I had picked a red tulip to watch it open in the morning as part of my meditation. When looking deep inside the tulip after it opened, I thought of my ex-partner. She loved taking close-up pictures of flowers and I really liked her images. At that moment I was guided to get my video camera that I purchased to film myself being funny. That's why I was headed to Second City. I was sure I had what it took to hit the big time.
In the morning I patiently watched the tulip open and noticed the light was turning the deep black inside of the tulip to blue. Not being a photographer, and knowing little about the workings of the video camera, which had still photo capabilities, I began to shoot. I was grateful that I figured out that it must be set on camera mode for still photos.
I took several pictures of the tulip. A few days later I went to Lake Michigan to take a picture of the sunrise. On the way to the lake there was a garden of tulips that caught my attention. I knew nothing of what this camera feature could do on the video camera, I just kept shooting because what I saw through the view finder was quite beautiful. Soon, there before me at the photo lab, I stood speechless while looking at the results of my amateur photoshoot. The images were beautiful. Second City was no longer important, I quit.
